Go ON UK
The UK’s digital skills charity – http://www.go-on.co.uk/
Go ON UK believes in the transformative power of technology to improve the prospects of individuals, families, communities and organisations. Which is why we are committed to eradicating digital exclusion and ensuring that everyone in the UK has the motivation and skills needed to benefit and prosper from the internet
It’s difficult to imagine life without the internet. Today, it plays a vital role in every aspect of our lives, in how we shop, keep in touch, work, save money and maintain our well-being.
But while most of us now take the internet for granted, too many people and organisations in the UK are still missing out on the benefits it has to offer.
At Go ON UK, we believe in the transformative power of the internet to improve the prospects of individuals, families, communities and organisations.
This is why, as the UK’s digital skills charity, founded in 2012 by our Chair, Martha Lane Fox, we actively seek out and work with partners across the public, private and voluntary sectors to identify opportunities and develop programmes that improve Basic Digital Skills among people and organisations across the UK.
Through our work, we argue the social and economic case for universal Basic Digital Skills, as well as providing the tools, inspiration and opportunities for organisations and volunteers to help their local communities gain the Basic Digital Skills they need.
Together with our partners, we are committed to eradicating digital exclusion and ensuring that everyone in the UK has the motivation and skills needed to benefit and prosper from the internet today and in the future.
