I’m impressed by the design and objectives of the game Lumio.
The connections in my mind here are Planet Earth Institute Unconference last week, the speaker from IBM Africa, and ICT Works.
I saw this link about biofeedback video game design research at http://www.shiftdesign.org.uk/products/biofeedback-video-game/#research thanks to ICT Works. The research is by shift http://www.shiftdesign.org.uk/
I was wondering if I’d recommend children I know to get involved (I would now I’ve read the links).
One link mentioned IBM saying “the technology company IBM felt the similarities between real world and online risk taking and leadership was so similar that they advocated using video games as a potential training tool for leaders of the future”.
At Planet Earth Institute Unconference last week, I had a discussion with the speaker from IBM research Africa about something unrelated to this. Now I’m wondering about any connections between the work he does, and this kind of gaming, and other work that interests me related to schools and pupils.
